So Christmas and New Years is done and its the start of a brand new year, 2018. Full of possibility and promise, mine is to write more blog posts!! Its been an amazing year for us and I’m so looking forward to what this next year will bring and I wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support over the last year. It still blows my mind to think we’re part of your Endless Stories by being the surprises under your Christmas Tree. Makes me smile ALOT to think about this and every time I get an order I still do a happy dance every. single. time.
So what does 2018 have in store for jewellery? Read on to find out the biggest trends for the coming year.
The Statement Earring – this burst onto the scene at the back end of 2017 and its set to continue well into Spring/Summer and the rest of 2018. These have well & truly replaced the statement necklace and frankly anything goes. The tassel will be prominent but add tiered tassels, fringing and encompass jewels – the bigger the better. The great thing about this trend is it goes with everything in your closet. Jazz up your favourite graphic tee and jeans combo, spice up your trusty black going ‘out out top’ or pair with a dressy dress for ultimate glamour. Our tassel earrings have been the showstopper in online sales and you guys have not been able to get enough of them so watch this space for our new statement earrings when they go live on the site.
CELESTIAL – think stars, planets, moons, astrology, mystical, cosmic and you’re on the right track. This new trend is uber exciting and feels so new in terms of jewellery, plus I am obsessed with stars (I even have a star tattoo on my foot). The fact thats its a trend for Spring Summer and not Christmas means it will be a newer fresher take on this trend and not in a blingy Christmas way which makes it more exciting and new. Endless Stories will definitely be delivering this trend and I already have some orders placed that are a massive nod to this. So watch this space!! Eeek!!
HAUTE HOOPS – Hoops are back with a vengeance and they come in all shapes and sizes in all different materials and the blingier and bigger the better! These were all over the catwalk with lots of famous designers showcasing them in their shows and will sure to be followed by the high street and independents alike.
PRETTY IN PERSPEX – yep perspex is back. Not just in earrings but bangles and necklaces. Think bold colours and chunky shapes and probably the most forward of the trends but a really fun one. Maybe if you wanted a nod to the trend you could invest in a brightly coloured perspex circle earring? Here at Endless Stories the jury is still out on this one!
